In honor of Robert “Rabbie” Burns, the national poet of Scotland, Lochanside will present songs from throughout the Scottish countryside. While the performance is free to all fans of Scottish music, the Harmony and Lochanside will be offering a musical whisky pairing for four songs.
For a $25 ticket, participants will receive a “flight” (four drams) of Scotch to pair with four tunes from regions that are home to those whiskies. Participants in this ticketed offering must be 21 years of age. Tickets for the tasting are limited.
No cover for the music. Pre-order for the whisky tasting is strongly encouraged.
Lochanside is a Scottish folk band consisting of a bagpipe, guitar, fiddle, Celtic flute, and a bodhran. This Madison-based group plays Scottish music, everything from centuries old traditional songs and upbeat dance tunes, to new Celtic music coming out of Scotland today.
